English: Spc. Diego Gonzalez, a transportation specialist in the 628th Aviation Support Battalion, works on his computer at Camp Adder, Iraq. He came to the 628th from the 228th Brigade Support Battalion, Sellersville detachment, and brings with him a broad range of multimedia talent.
At home Gonzalez works as a freelance graphic artist and photographer. His services range from photography to web design and he hopes to eventually run his own business in the digital field. Gonzalez also has a love for music. "I've basically had an interest in music all my life," he said. He has played the saxophone in school bands and he also plays piano and guitar. He said playing piano is a big help to him in electronic music production and he enjoys creating his own unique sounds. Here at Camp Adder Gonzalez displays his skills in the disc jockey booth mixing it up for the soldiers at Latin music nights at a restaurant on base. As a part of the 628th, Gonzalez has been working with Company A's transportation platoon and is now assigned to force protection patrols using Mine Resistant Armor Protected vehicles. After this deployment ends he plans to go back to school full time and he is considering entering a radiology technician degree program. As he continues his military career he would like to pursue a commission and serve as an officer in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. |
