Selfheal (Prunella vulgaris) is a low growing perennial plant, It is found in a variety of habitats including woodland clearings, roadside verges, grassland and turf. As it's name suggests it often used as a herbal remedy for a range of ailments. The distinct purple flowers can be seen between May and September.
