| Description |
Deutsch: Das Gebiet der Seevengeti entstand in 70er Jahren durch den Bau des benachbarten Rangierbahnhofes. Unbrauchbare, trockene und magere Böden wurden auf die Fläche gebracht. Es entstand eine knapp 10 ha große flache Erhebung am Rande des Steller Sees, welcher zur Sandgewinnung für den Bau des Rangierbahnhofes entstand. Dies alles förderte die Entstehung von Biotopen, die man eher in der Steppe als in der Marsch vermuten würde. Durch die extensive Beweidung mit robusten Rindern, die dornige trockene Pflanzen links liegen lassen, wurde eine Landschaft geformt, die Ähnlichkeiten mit der afrikanischen Serengeti hat. |
