Description
English: Astrophysicist Dr. Charles Greeley Abbot's solar cooker, which cooks food by solar energy, at Mount Wilson, California. Dr. Abbot was the fifth Smithsonian Institution Secretary from 1928 to 1944, and director of the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory from 1907-1944. From 1905 through the 1930s, the Astrophysical Observatory used the telescopes at Mount Wilson
