Summary
[edit]DescriptionSeaweed covered groyne - geograph.org.uk - 792669.jpg |
English: Seaweed covered groyne Low water has exposed outcrops of chalk, a characteristic feature for this section of coastline. The chalk is composed of calcium carbonate from the remains of microscopic marine organisms that once lived in a warm shallow sea which covered this area between 62 and 132 million years ago. On the low foreshore, flint circles and nodules can be observed along with paramoudras, also known as pot stones.
