Summary
[edit]DescriptionSeaweed accumulation - geograph.org.uk - 1461213.jpg |
English: Seaweed accumulation. Sheltered inlets such as the one imaged here accumulate huge masses of floating seaweed driven onshore by spring tides and strong southerly winds. It is a shame that it is not harvested from such places, but it is presumed that it is not pure enough for the factory 1442400once mixed with the other flotsam seen here. It is also a major source of nutrients to the coastal ecology. |
