Description
English: Gravestone in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Seattle, Washington, U.S. that just says "Typographical Union Number 202". Nearby are a number of other stones, flat to the ground, that give death dates and age at death, but no other information such as the person's name. Seattle historian Valarie Bunn passes along that, according to Kim Turner of the Queen Anne Historical Society, they represent people who died of tuberculosis caused by their work, and to avoid stigma they were buried this way without names.
