Summary
[edit]DescriptionSeattle - 420 Pontius N 01.jpg |
420 Pontius Avenue N., corner of Republican Street, in the Cascade neighborhood, Seattle, Washington, USA. Built 1919 with a 1955 extension. It was apparently originally the garage for a laundry, then a laundry itself. Most recently (until 2004) it housed Outdoor Emporium. For more about this building, see Summary for 420 Pontius AVE / Parcel ID 6849200065, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods. Looking further south on the same side of Pontius Street are 414 Pontius (Summary for 414 Pontius AVE / Parcel ID 6849200080, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, originally an office building for developer Howard Wright), an unidentified building, and then across the street the Seattle School District Supply Center on the former site of the Cascade School. Across the street is the brutalist Pontius Building. In the distance are the towers of downtown. |
