Centro Tel. 669) 981-3545 Iglesia de San José La Iglesia Católica más antigua del puerto fue edificada a partir de 1837 y se inaguró en el año 1842. Está construida de adobe crudo enjarrado,tiene una torre de un solo cuerpo y originalmente tenia un portal en el costado sur. La campana que estaba destinada al servicio de esta Iglesia Estuvo durante muchos años sobre la calle,hasta que,en la época De la intervención francesa,la tropa de ocupación de encargó de Colocarla en la torre. Por esa larga permanencia fuera de su sitio normal, la calle empezó a ser conocida como de la campana,nombre que aún conserva oficialmente. |
