Description
Deutsch: Martin Mayer (1931–2022): Schwimmerin, Bronze, am Sockel signiert und datiert 1976–1977.
München, Stadtteil Schwanthalerhöhe („Westend“), Geroltstraße, am Zugang zum Hallenbad der Ridlerschule.
Die Statue erfährt umfangreiche, wenngleich nicht unbedingt wertschätzende „Rezeption“ durch die Schüler*innen: Im September 2014 war sie fast komplett mit silberner Sprühfarbe überzogen, auf der ein schwarzes Graffiti-Tag prangte. Später wurde sie offenbar gereinigt. Im Mai 2023 ist die Vorderseite großflächig mit roter Farbe zur Hervorhebung gewisser anatomischer Merkmale besprüht; zusätzlich trägt sie zahlreiche Filzstift-Graffiti von der Stirn bis zu den Schenkeln. – Den Kunstpädagog*innen der Schule stellt sich hier eine ganz konkrete Vermittlungsaufgabe vor der eigenen Haustür.
