Description
Deutsch: Bagger 291 im Tagebau Hambach, Elsdorf, Rhein-Erft-Kreis, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Schicht für Schicht wird Erdboden abgegraben, um an die wertvolle Kohle zu gelangen. An anderer Stelle wird der Abraum über die Absetzer wieder verteilt und zu künstlichen Anhöhen aufgetürmt. Die Fotografie wurde von der Aussichtsplattform des Hambacher Tagebaus nahe Elsdorf aufgenommen.
