Description
Deutsch: Terrakotta-Relief des Kölner Bildhauers Scherf (Franz Scherf von der Tonfigurenfabrik Heinrich Josef Scherf in Köln-Kalk?) an der 4. Station des Stationenwegs in Bornheim (von Bornheim-Mitte nach Brenig); die Bornheimer Kreuzweg-Reliefs sind Nachbildungen der Fresken von Joseph von Führich in der Wiener Johann-Nepomuk-Kirche (hier zu sehen); der Breniger Stationenweg zählt daher zu den Führich-Kreuzwegen (wie auch der Kreuzweg in der Wallfahrtskirche Koblenz-Arenberg und der neben der Thomaskirche in Wesseling-Urfeld); das Relief zeigt die Begegnung Marias mit Jesus, rechts neben Jesus einen Mann, der Nägel in seiner Rechten und einen Hammer in der Linken hält, einen weiteren Mann, der seine Linke hebt, als wäre er geblendet, daneben Johannes, der Maria am Arm stützt, und auf den Knien davor Maria-Magdalena. Hier ein Vergleich mit der Urfelder Station.
