Summary

Description
English: Mock-up model of a weighing principle with parallelogram guiding and spring scale. Vectors of the construction. Special case when the parallelogramm is a rectangle. It's a modified Roberval balance, where the right side is replaced by a spring. The length of the spring is equal to the drag. Then the weigh on the scale tray could be calculated. There would be a calibrated scale reading on the spring scale. A similar principle was used for letter scales.
