Description
English: Fleuron from book:
Scacchia ludus: or, the game of chess. A poem. Written originally in Latin by Marcus Hieronymus Vida, Bishop of Alba. Translated into English by Mr. Erskine. With a short introductory essay on the game of chess; and a translation of Vida's three pastoral eclogues. By Mr. Craig. The whole adorn'd with a handsome Frontispiece, and a Curious Head of Vida.
