DescriptionSatsuki Eda, Branislav Kapetanovic and others.jpg |
English: Satsuki Eda (seated), Branislav Kapetanovic and others at the official residence of the chairman of the House of Councillors in Japan. In April 2008, the Japan Campaign to Ban Landmines (JCBL) invited cluster munition survivor and CMC spokesperson Branislav Kapetanovic to Japan.
Branislav met with Japan’s Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs and other officials to urge Japan to support a comprehensive ban on cluster munitions in the Oslo Process. Working with the Japan Campaign to Ban Landmines, Branislav gave talks and media interviews to raise awareness of the issue just weeks before the treaty negotiations in Dublin.
