English: Sandstone and mudstone at Salcombe Hill Cliff The rock on the right is Mercia mudstone - Keuper marl - about 200 million years old. It has very fine particles incorporating sand and clay. That on the far left near Sidmouth is Otter sandstone, Middle Triassic, about 240 million years old. It has clear sedimentary layers.
