Description
Italiano: Secondo una prassi comune nelle basiliche paleocristiane, nei colonnati di San Secondiano a Chiusi sono impiegati colonne e capitelli differenti, tra cui molti pezzi ricavati dalla demolizione di edifici di epoca romana; tali disparati materiali non sono accostati casualmente, come potrebbe sembrare a prima vista, ma disposti con cura in coppie o gruppi simmetrici di pezzi uguali o simili, creando una complessa rete di calcolati rimandi a distanza, in modo tale da suddividere i colonnati in aree funzionali (ad esempio differenziando l'area del presbiterio da quella destinata ai fedeli).
