Salto del Penitente Park Located at 34 22 '20 "S 55 03' 12" O on the Sierra de Carapé, 300 meters above the sea, it is named after the two stones that look like hands praying (in repentance) giving thus its name. The 10 acres of land was donated to the Municipality in 2002 by Ferber-Muñoz neighbors. Parque Salto del Penitente Está ubicado en 34 22’ 20” S 55 03’ 12” O sobre la Sierra de Carapé, a 300 metros sobre el mar, debe su nombre a las dos piedras que parecen manos rezando (en penitencia) y dan nombre al lugar. El predio de 10 hectarias fue donado a la Intendencia en 2002 por los vecinos Ferber-Muñoz. Lavalleja, Uruguay.
