Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Saltburn Gill. Saltburn Gill is a deep glacial cut. Its sides have never been cultivated and has probably been wooded for 8000 years. It has been designated a SSSI. The orangeness is probably due to the ironstone rock higher up the beck but I am not sure if this is natural or a result of seepage from the abandoned mines.
