Description
Français : Salle d'apparat de la Bibliothèque nationale d'Autriche.

C’est la plus grande bibliothèque baroque d'Europe. C'est une longue pièce unique qui mesure 77,70 mètres de long, 14,20 mètres de largeur et d’une hauteur de 20 mètres, véritable joyau de l’architecture baroque.

La statue de marbre située au centre de la salle d’apparat représente l'empereur Charles VI en Hercule Musagète (conducteur des muses). Elle date de 1735 et aurait été réalisée par le sculpteur de la cour impériale Antonio Corradini (1668-1752).

It is the largest baroque library in Europe. It is a unique long room measuring 77.70 meters in length, 14.20 meters in width and 20 meters in height, a true gem of Baroque architecture.

The marble statue in the center of the ceremonial room represents Emperor Charles VI as Hercules Musagetus. It dates back to 1735 and is believed to have been made by the imperial court sculptor Antonio Corradini (1668-1752).
