Description
English: Station of the Cross, known as Pröbstings Bild, beside the Roman Catholic St.-Georg-Kirche (Saint George Church) in Saerbeck, Kreis Steinfurt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is a listed cultural heritage monument.
Deutsch: Als Pröbstings Bild bekannter Bildstock mit Passionsdarstellung (Kreuzweg-Station) an der römisch-katholischen Pfarrkirche St. Georg in Saerbeck, Kreis Steinfurt, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Im Verlauf der ehemaligen Friedhofsmauer aufgestellter, barocker Bildstock mit einer kombinierten Darstellung aus der Passion Christi: Christus fällt unter dem Kreuz und die Begegnung Jesu mit seiner Mutter im Hochrelief. Der Bildstock ist 1729 datiert, dies müsste laut Unterwegs im Kreis Steinfurt (S. 496 ) wohl 1759 lauten. Rechtecksockel mit Gebetsinschrift. Auf einer profilierten Abdeckplatte steht eine Rechtecknische, darüber befindet sich eine Abdeckplatte mit einem geschweiften und von Voluten gerahmten Aufsatz. Steinkugelbekrönung. Das Kreuz fehlt. Seltener barocker Bildstock mit außergewöhnlicher Ikonografie.
