Description
English: THIS BUILDING IS LOCATED ON THE GROUNDS OF THE WASHINGTON MONUMENT AND NEAR THE JOHN PAUL JONES STATUE. IT WAS USED DURING THE BUILDING OF THE WASHINGTON MONUMENT IN THE 1880’S TO SUPPLY STEAM NEEDED TO POWER ELEVATORS ETC. THIS BUILDING DOES HAVE A NATIONAL PARK SIGN ATTACHED TO IT

I CAN FIND NO MENTION OF THIS BUILDING ON WIKIPEDIA AND YET IT IS USED BY THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE WITH THEIR SIGN ATTACHED AND IT DOES HAVE HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE
