WASHINGTON REPORTEDLY VISITED JACKSON HERE WHILE TRAVELING TO MOUNT HOPE. THIS STRUCTURE WAS REMOVED IN 1867 FROM THE REMAINING GAMBREL-ROOFED FEDERAL STYLE WING BUILT IN 1816 BY STEPHEN’S SON, COLONEL JOSEPH JACKSON AS AN ADDITION. |
