| Description |
English: In 1992 the Y-steel sleepers were the first time used by SOB. What cannot be seen in the photos is that the sleepers have a height of 95 mm. The fastening of railway technical components is more difficult at this track construction. But the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. In the years 2004 to 2006 the whole 16 kilometer section from St. Gallen to Romanshorn of SOB was renewed with Y-steel sleepers. Switzerland, Oct 4, 2016. (3/6) |
