Description
English: Mr. Dave Mitchell, institutional capacity planner, Defense Security Cooperation Agency, introduces himself during the fourth semi-annual Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) workshop at the Golden Lion Conference Center, Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy, Aug. 26, 2024. The annual TSC workshop brings together Department of Defense and State Department security and protection professionals from across Africa to discuss security challenges and identify opportunities for interagency cooperation. Participants engaged in planning, executing, administering, monitoring, assessing, and evaluating security cooperation programs and activities that support theater, national defense, and national security strategy objectives. U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) plays a pivotal role in advancing these objectives by planning and executing hundreds of security cooperation initiatives across Africa each year, fostering stronger partnerships and enhancing regional stability.
