Description
English: Loadmasters from the 60th Air Mobility Wing and Lockheed Martin Space load the sixth Geosynchronous Earth Orbit Space Based Infrared System satellite (SBIRS GEO-6) into a C-5M Super Galaxy aircraft at Moffett Federal Airfield, Calif., May 31, 2022. The satellite was taken to a processing facility to undergo testing and fueling prior to encapsulation. GEO-6 is expected to launch in July 2022 and is the last SBIRS program launch.
