| Description | SBB has 7322 switch heaters of which approximately 38% are gas-operated, like this one. They have with 1000 W/m a three times higher power density than electric heating rods. Gas heaters are operated in especially exposed positions. This switch is located right on the Lake Constance, where north winds cause severe icing.
