Description A rear view of the ASQ-81 Magnetic Anomaly Detection (MAD) boom on a U.S. Navy Lockheed S-3A Viking Anti-Submarine Squadron VS-31 Topcats in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69). VS-31 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 7 (CVW-7) aboard the Eisenhower for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 27 April to 2 December 1983.
