Description
English: Runway at former RAF Seighford Built as a satellite airfield for RAF Hixon in 1943. It was a base for 30 OTU training on Wellington bombers and later for 23 Heavy Glider Conversion Unit. The training unit closed in 1947 and the airfield in 1966. It is now used for motor events, a gliding club at weekends and the occasional private aircraft.
