Français : "Le Vigneron reconnaissant", gravure de Ruhière reproduisant le tableau du même nom présenté par Eugénie Henry (future Eugénie Latil) au Salon de 1839 (numéro 1007 du livret). Publié dans "Le Journal des artistes", 13e année, 1er vol. no 12, 24 mars 1839.
Ailleurs dans le même numéro (H. "Exposition de 1839 (4e article)", p. 187, voici ce que le critique artistique du journal dit du tableau : "Mademoiselle Henry a eu une jolie idée dans son Vigneron reconnaissant ; figurez-vous un jeune paysan qui a déjà commencé à perdre l'équilibre, tant il a fait honneur à sa vendance ; avant de boire le dernier verre, il le présente à la statue de la Vierge en signe de remerciement. Ce tableau où l'exécution répond à la pensée, arrête tous les yeux." |
