Description
English: Oudehaven and surroundings in Rotterdam, Netherlands, in 1938. Also parts of de harbours Haringvliet, Nieuwehaven, Kolk, Blaak, Wijnhaven and Scheepmakershaven are depicted. This part of Rottdam was almost completely destroyed in de Rotterdam Blitz of 14 May 1940. Just a few of the depicted buildings existed in 2019.
Nederlands: De Oudehaven en omgeving in Rotterdam, in 1938. Zichtbaar zijn ook delen van het Haringvliet, de Nieuwehaven, de Kolk, de Blaak, de Wijnhaven en de Scheepmakershaven. Dit deel van Rotterdam is in het Bombardement van 14 mei 1940 vrijwel volledig verwoest. Slechts enkele van de afgebeelde gebouwen bestonden nog in 2019
