Description

This appears to be the gold medal presented by the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society to Stuart Gawler King as the outstanding student at the Agricultural College, Roseworthy in 1916. Stuart King (1896-1989) from St Peter's College had won a scholarship to study at the Agricultural College in 1913, and distinguished himself as a student in his three years there. He subsequently worked at the Mount Burr Mill. (Daily Herald 1 April 1916, p8; Border Watch, 26 August 1941, p3). Photographed May 1916.
