Description
Deutsch: Ofenstrinplatte mit dem Motiv der Anbetung der Heiligen Drei Könige, unterer Teil der Platte mit Hüttenbezeichnung und Füllhörnern fehlt. Die "Heiligen Drei Könige" nehmen Bezug auf die im Mattäusevangelium erwähnten Sterndeuter (Mt 2). In der Westkirche werden die Namen Caspar, Melchior und Balthasar werden erstmals in Legenden des 6. Jahrhunderts erwähnt. In der katholischen Kirche werden sie als Heilige verehrt und vielfach in Gemälden, Weihnachtskrippen und hier auf Takenplatten dargestellt.
