Possible Belt Slide.

The object is a rectangular undecorated piece of openwork; one of the long sides is slightly narrower (3mm) than the other three (4.5mm). Length: 34mm, Width: 21.47mm. Weight: 4.9gms. MF notes prominent file marks which are apparently intended to achieve a decorative effect; these extend to all surfaces both ‘front’ and ‘rear’, which are consequently indistinguishable. Suggested date: Roman, 40-200
