Description de l’œuvre : Hommage à Robert Gravel, fondateur de la Ligne Nationale d’improvisation (LNI).

Biographie de l’artiste : Né à Montréal en 1949, Laurent Gascon fonde en 1971 l’Escouade de la Muralité dont le but est de descendre l’art dans la rue. En 1976, il participe au projet Corrid’art, l’exposition organisée par le comité des Jeux olympiques qui devait se tenir sur la rue Sherbrooke. Laurent Gascon explore de nouveaux médiums durant les années 80 et 90, avant de mettre au point sa propre façon de travailler la mosaïque de céramique en République Dominicaine. En 2009, il réalise sa première murale en céramique à Montréal, en hommage à l’artiste affichiste Vittorio. Huit autres murales ont vu le jour depuis. Ces œuvres sont dédiées à Vittorio, célèbre affichiste, au comédien Paul Buissonneau et au théâtre La Roulotte, au poète et chanteur Raymond Lévesque, à la chanteuse Marjo, ainsi qu’au comédien Robert Gravel, aux chanteurs et poètes Pauline Julien et Plume Latraverse.
