Summary
[edit]DescriptionRoad to Heughs of St Cyrus - geograph.org.uk - 1512747.jpg |
English: Road to Heughs of St Cyrus The coastal path is actually a substantial road here - so why the cycling prohibited sign, a rarity in Scotland. We do not have the restrictive laws against cycling that blight the lives of English cyclists, and at a glance this is a non compliant and unlawful sign. (There may be a good reason - if so, it should be explained). Certainly there are plenty of places around here that it would not be responsible access to cycle - but a road?
As I was on a road bike, and trying to catch a train, I did not investigate this fascinating coast line further, but followed NCN 1 up a steep but easy way to the plateau above. |
