Summary

Description	A la frontière avec le Cambodge, la région inondée autour de Chau Doc Une grande partie de la région est encore inondée en décembre, comme on peut le constater sur la photo. L'année 2011 a connu d'importantes inondations en Thaïlande mais également au Vietnam (dans le delta du Mékong, à Saïgon, dans le centre du pays) et au Cambodge. Cette zone agricole du Vietnam est particulièrement pauvre en raison de la durée de l'inondation qui empêche de faire plusieurs récoltes de riz. Les principales ressources des habitants de cette région viennent du fleuve avec l'élevage des poissons-chats dans des maisons flottantes.
