The Rizal Monument in Luneta, Manila, Philippines Dr. Jose Rizal is the national hero of the Philippines and this monument houses his remains. The monument is guarded 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by honor guard sentries (you can see them if you look at the original size photo). I don't know how those guards stand there for so long under the VERY hot tropical sun. I'd probably be a puddle of sweat in 10 minutes! |
