| Description |
English: River knows best This stretch of river was recently dug out to reinstate meanders. This sort of work is sometimes criticised as trying to design nature - but really it is giving it a starting point from which it will 'work' from. Here the river is flowing directly at the bank before turning round the peninsula. It will soon have eroded through (taking out the dead tree) and find a 'natural' course. |
