Summary
[edit]DescriptionRiver Waveney at Beccles - geograph.org.uk - 190226.jpg |
English: River Waveney at Beccles. Looking upstream, towards Beccles Church. 50 years ago this view would have been very different, where the boat is a railway bridge crossed the Waveney. The Waveney valley railway ran from Beccles to Tivetshall and closed in the 1960s. Evidence in this picture includes the red brick wall with a balcony on it, this is a former buttress for the bridge 1014761. On the other side is one exactly the same. 967585 |
