English: River Irwell Stubbins At this point on the River Irwell an excavator is removing part of the river bed and banking on the bend so as to make it wider and improve the flow of water to prevent flooding to the houses near by and up stream.
When the Irwell bursts its banks during heavy rain it can be a big problem around the valley 314860 |
