| Description |
English: River Eden Mouth of the river Eden from the St Andrews shore looking across to the Leuchars shore. With the tide out it's not very wide and protected by a large sand bar jutting out north from the St Andrews shore.
In the distance can be seen some of the hardened aircraft shelters of RAF Leuchars. Designed towards the latter part of the cold war these shelters were supposed to withstand a close hit from a 500lb bomb. With modern bunker buster weapons they are now relics from a bygone age. |
