English: Bronze age sword of Buggenum, discovered in 1964 during dredging in the river Meuse near Buggenum, Limburg, the Netherlands. The bronze object dates from 1300-1100 BC and is now in the collection of the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden. This photo was taken during the temporary exhibition Topstukken van het Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in the Limburgs Museum in Venlo, while the museum in Leiden was closed for renovations. |
