Revox B215 - implanting signal relays - fitting new daughterboard to the IO motherboard

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Revox B215 - implanting signal relays - fitting new daughterboard to the IO motherboard. The black handwriting marks the contact pads of the headphone relay. The latter had been removed to clear space for the implant. The daughterboard plugs into two existing GND contact pads (left) and a third, new GND contact drilled to the right. It will carry three 24V relays: one for 70/120 EQ selection, one for head amp muting, and one for the tape/source switch, replacing two CMOS ICs (4066 and 4053). These ICS can be left in place with no ill effects, but this would result in quite a messy wiring, so I'd remove them completely and use the freed contact pads. The relay coils are driven with a ULN2003 controlled directly by existing CMOS logic signals.
