Description
English: Artistic concept of a revolving space station that could support human life. People would live in the torus and experience artificial gravity due to the revolving movement. The central units and robotic arms are used as docking and repair stations for spaceships. The outer side of the torus is fitted with solar panels. This image was used as part of the Romanian team's RFP for the International Space Settlement Design competition organised by NASA Johnson Space Center, 2008.
