Português: Retábulo da autoria de Nicolau Chanterene, por encomenda de D. João III e D. Catarina, executado entre 1529 e 1534.
O programa iconográfico é repartido por três ciclos diferentes: as Alegrias e as Dores da Virgem, e a Paixão de Cristo. Do primeiro constam três episódios, a Anuncição, a Natividade e a Adoração dos Magos; do segundo constam, a Apresentação de Jesus no Templo e a Fuga para o Egipto; e do terceiro, na predela e sacrário rotativo, consta um extenso reportório com nove cenas: a Última Ceia, Cristo no Horto, a Prisão de Cristo, Flagelação, Ecce Homo, Caminho do Calvário, Lamentação, Ressurreição e Descida ao Limbo. As duas pricipais “figuras de devoção” centradas no grupo de Cristo deposto pelos Anjos e da Virgem em Majestade marcam o eixo central da composição.
