English: Rendcomb House Rendcomb House, also known as Rendcomb College has been a school since 1920, see: http://www.rendcombcollege.org.uk/ The house was built in an Italianate style for Sir Francis Henry Goldsmid and completed in 1867. In 1864, Goldsmid had pruchased the estate and existing house from the Guise family who had held the estate since 1635, they had purchased it from the Berkeley family. This side view of the house is from the churchyard. |
