| Description |
English: Remains of steam winch, Swannington. Compared to the previous picture 906704 there has been considerable clearance of encroaching undergrowth. This clearance appeared to have been done earlier the same day (nobody knew we were going - honest). It is likely that this had been used at the nearby Calcutta pumping pit for shaft work and converted to electric drive at the same time the big steam pump was scrapped. |
