[edit]DescriptionRemains of Vampire FB5 (VZ874) (8951717047).jpg |
This is all that remains of a DH100 Vampire FB5 which crashed into Mynydd Mawr (7 miles SE of Caernarfon) on 12th October 1956. The aircraft was on a night flying training mission and was operated by 7FTS. Sadly, the pilot was killed. While some parts remain on the mountain, those seen here are on display at the Caernarfon Airworld Museum. Caernarfon Airport. 27-5-2013 |
