Summary
[edit]DescriptionRemains of Goraghwood station - 1974 (geograph 3604865).jpg |
English: Remains of Goraghwood station - 1974 As detailed in: J0631 : Steam train at Goraghwood - 1986, the once important junction station of Goraghwood closed in 1965. Most buildings were then demolished and what remained was erased during the Belfast - Dublin line upgrade project in the mid-1990s. It is doubtful if this view is now possible due to continued vegetation growth. For a view of the station during the relaying work, see: J0631 : Diesel hauled train at Goraghwood - 1996. Google maps indicates there is still a station here - this is incorrect. |
